Starwood offering unlimited bonus points for referrals via LinkedIn

Starwood just put out an promotion where they are offering a 1000 SPG points for new signups to the Starwood Preferred Guest program referred by an existing SPG member. The existing members will have to sign up for the promotion here, and then send out references to people they know via LinkedIn. This promotion is only valid for those with a resident address in India.

The referrer gets 1000 SPG points for every new referral they give out, who sign up for the SPG program before March 25, 2014 and make their first stay before 15th of May 2014 at any of the 1100 Starwood hotels across the world. There is no cap on earning via this route. They also get 1000 SPG points for their own stays until 15th May 2014 (up to 5,000 bonus StarPoints). For the referees, they also earn 1000 points for their first 5 stays made until 15th May 2014. Of course, they can further give out references to other people as well and make those bonuses.

Like is the usual, you can stack this up with the other SPG promotions going on at this moment, such as the one for Asia Pacific, where you get 2000 bonus Starpoints on a two night stay at a hotel or resort in Asia Pacific which you book by March 31, 2014 and stay by May 17, 2014. You could also get a free night by booking in at resorts/hotels which have a Book 2 Get 3 night offer going on for stays to be completed by March 31, 2014.

Remember, as per March 4, 2014 there are so many Starwood hotels which are becoming cheaper for award stays in India, and one of these stays would get you enough SPG points to get another night free at same or another SPG property later. You can also get complimentary SPG Gold status on the back of your MasterCard for better service and free internet.
