SpiceJet offering Handbaggage only fares for INR 999 onwards

Spicejet is back into their sale mode. From today to April 29, 2015, they are offering hand baggage only fares which start at INR 999 all-inclusive.

The sale is offered for travel between July 1, 2015 to October 15, 2015 and is available on all direct and onward flights on SpiceJet’s domestic network. In case you do decide to check in a bag, you need to pay INR 750 for baggage up to 15 kgs weight, payable at the airport. You can however carry a cabin bag for upto 7 kg’s weight along with one personal effect (a laptop bag or a ladies purse) for free.

I did check out these fares, and they are largely in line with the market fares. For instance, a BOM-DEL-BOM priced out at INR 5000. Add a bag and you get it for INR 6500, which is the fare other airlines would offer it at on a itinerary about 60 days or more out.

You can buy these fares on SpiceJet’s own website, or from travel portals such as Musafir.com.
