Hello from Delhi where we are surviving the heat wave, with a quick trip to family over the extended weekend. This week is full of a variety of aviation news. Here is a quick recap of everything we covered over the week.
On our way out from Mumbai, we flew Vistara into Delhi and we were surprised to see the downgrade in Vistara’s earlier promised premium experience. While on our way out from Delhi we are booked to fly out on GoAir and in spite of checking in 72 hours prior to departure, for the second time in a row, we noticed only middle seats were available. It appears Go Air blocks off almost all the front row seats, emergency exit seats, window seats and aisle seats. 2 other airlines that have been catching media attention lately are; Air Asia for the fact that it was never being run from India, and that the CEO was actually a figurehead and Vijay Mallya’s Kingfisher Airline whose employees still await salaries, and customers a refund.
- Vistara, what happened to the premium meal?
- When will Go Air fix its web check-in?
- Air Asia India flouting Indian aviation rules?
- Will Kingfisher boss pay cancelled tickets as well?
Jet Airways is back again with another sale on miles, where they are offering a bonus up to 40% on the sale of miles. 40% is the usual standard when Jet Airways’ makes a mileage sale, but this time there is an interesting kicker as well. This sale is valid up to April 30, 2016.
Hyatt runs 25 hotels across 15 cities in India is out with a new promotion titled Celebrate with Hyatt. Under this promotions Hyatt is offering a 35% off on the Best Available Rate on stays across hotels in India and Nepal for the period April 8, 2016 to July 7, 2016. The important thing to remember is that these bookings are prepaid (hence non-refundable) and you will need to book by today, April 17, 2016.
We hope you all have a good week ahead! If you snapchat, you can add us there (@livefromalounge), because we just got cooler on social media that ways!
