100 Club Vistara bonus points for checking-in online/ on the app

Vistara has announced a few days ago, that they are following the classic playbook to encourage people to check in via self-service options, such as their website and mobile app. Here are the details of the promotion.

It is now common practice amongst Indian carriers to offer bonus miles on booking direct (a small compensation to take away the booking from a travel agent where they need to be compensated), and Vistara, apart from Jet Airways and Air India offers this bonus on direct bookings. However, Vistara is now encouraging people to check-in via its app/site as well with a small incentive, which was something Jet Airways used to do for a long time to make their digital channels popular and common place with the travelling public. They finally withdrew this in 2014.

100 points per passenger for checking in digitally

The Vistara website already allows you to manage the booking via the site. Now, if you complete a check-in online, you will also get a 100 CV points for this exercise. These points will be credited to your account within 7 days after the travel is completed, and you need to have your Club Vistara number on the booking while checking in (you won’t be able to get these points if you make a retro claim).

Having said that, the offer is only valid for check-ins made between June 14, 2016 to July 31, 2016. This is a short period, given that their peers ran such campaigns for years at length to get people used to checking in before they arrived at the airport.

If you are a Vistara traveller, this is an easy 100 points every time you travel with them. Every mile counts, right?
