Vistara offering complimentary status matches to Gold Tier

As we discussed in the earlier post a while ago, Vistara has launched Club Vistara again, and one of the new enhancements for them is the Platinum Tier. With this, Gold becomes their second from top tier. Now, as a part of the relaunch, Vistara is offering a trial status match to Gold Tier for 3 months.

If you are a Platinum or Gold member with another airline, you can apply for the status match. You get the new Gold status for three months. If you take 6 flights or earn about 6000 Tier Points, you get Gold for the next 12 months as well. If you are not able to get through the criteria to keep Gold, you get Silver anyways for the next 12 months.

How to request a status match

You need to go to www.clubvistara.com, which is the new dedicated microsite. Here, there is an opportunity to get complimentary upgrade to Club Vistara Gold.

You need to upload a copy of you’re your account statement or your membership card to be able to request the upgrade. You already need to be a member with Club Vistara so that you can punch in your number here.

Bottomline:

You will get Gold Status for 3 months as a straight through. However, you can also get Gold tier via the co-branded credit card for the full year enough. Or with a request to be sent to HDFC Bank as well.

  1. I think they have changed the T&C on the website.
    “Once you share your details, you would be upgraded to our complimentary CV Gold tier for a period of 3 months. During this period you either have to –
    Earn 9000 Tier Points or take 12 Vistara flights, for upgrade to CV Platinum membership for the next 12 months.
    Or
    In case you do not meet the evaluation criteria in the stipulated time, you will still enjoy the privileges of CV Silver membership for the next 12 months.”

    In short, the 6 flight travel for retaining status doesn’t exist anymore?
