LHW is running a promotion along with MasterCard where you will get a 150 USD hotel credit on stays of minimum 3 nights or more when you pay for your stay via MasterCard. The USD 150 hotel credit is for the entire stay duration and the credit must be used at the same property though cannot used towards adjusting the room rent. This offer is valid for bookings and stays through December 31, 2017 and you don’t have to have to an LHW member to avail the credit.

A total of 87 hotels are participating under this promotion with more than 50% of them in Europe. I did take a quick look and while the average pricing for most hotels is about USD 500+ per night, I did come across some nice properties in the USD 200-300 range.

Divani Caravel, Greece : Located in the heart of Athens, this hotel offers magnificent Acropolis views. Also the winner of World Travel Awards, August 2014.

The Okura Prestige,Bangkok : Situated in Bangkok’s commercial district , all rooms in this hotel are located above the 26th floor and offer spectacular city views.

The American Colony Hotel, Israel : The former palace of a pasha, this historic building was a Christian charitable community in 1881 and was transformed into a hotel in 1902.

Bottomline:

Regular membership to LHW usually costs USD 150 a year. If you are looking at a different experience from what the big chain hotels have to offer and hold a MasterCard then this a nice offer to make use of.  You get to experience the luxury of some high end hotels and get some payback on your MasterCard.

Have you ever stayed in any Leading Hotels of the World hotel?

Comments

  1. Prices appear to be inflated using your link to the promo. I compared the same 3 nights in August at the Okura hotel and it was about $90 less per night on hotels.com. Using the gift cards you can often get for another 20% off hotels.com, makes it a far superior deal than getting $150 off a 3 night stay (saving only $50/night in this example).
You should do some homework price comparison before putting this out.
