Jet Airways’ Biryani Festival is now on!

While I’ve not been very happy with Jet Airways food in Economy for a while now, they’ve launched a limited time initiative for their passengers in Economy across India, where on flights from today through September 4, 2017, guests on Jet Airways‘ domestic flights will get served a range of Biryani from various parts of India as part of lunch and dinner menus.

The ‘Biryani Festival’ menu, will include the following:

  • Yakhni Pulao Biryani
  • Aloo Badi Ki Biryani
  • Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani
  • Kabuli Biryani
  • Kolkata Style Chicken Biryani
  • Lucknawi Dum Biryani
  • Shahi Veg Biryani
  • Veg Mopla Biryani.

A lot of these are personal favourites. At least 4 of them. The Biryanis will be offered on select flights, and prepared by TajSATS / SkyGourmet for the airline. Now, if I’d know about the Biryani Festival earlier, I’d definitely have booked myself a flight! Right now, I’m just living through the Mumbai Rains!

If you get to taste the Biryani, do share a picture with us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram! I’m happy to see Jet Airways score again the Food department!

  1. I have to say that I flew from Singapore to Delhi a few weeks ago and found an improved meal service in economy then a few months ago. The menu choices, quality and presentation had definitely been enhanced and the service too was charming. I can only say that I am Glad to see Jet Airways starting to innovate somewhat with their inflight product. It is a much needed departure from their old school tick the boxes approach. I hope to try this soon. How about some kathi rolls next? 😉

  2. Yuck is the first thought that comes to mind when you picture 9W’s inflight meals. That and their crappy drink service firmly positions them at the bottom of airline inflight service, a dubious honor they can share with Air India.
Can’t wait for Vistara to start flying international and give options to desis wanting to fly an Indian Airline

  3. The standard of Jet airways international flights had dropped considerably.
The quality of food has dropped too.
The management has to change in order to improve.
Change for the better or it will close on its own.
