Seeking inputs for our Bangalore Meetup!

One of the things we’ve heard a lot of requests for is to organise informal meetups with the members of the community that we have been building over a period of many years now. I’ve done a couple of organised meetups in the past, however, most of my meetups with you guys end up being at the airports, bumping into you. It is not like we don’t like to meet you, however, we don’t usually end up having the opportunity to meet properly given the last minute plans we make all the time.

So, we are going to give it one more go and do a few meetups this year while the year is still young! And we are kicking it off with Bangalore. Shipra & I are going to be in Bangalore towards the end of this month, so we will make the first of these meetups work out there. However, with Bangalore traffic being a pain, we are slightly confused about the locations. So we thought we would put it out to vote and see what do our readers prefer. The objective is to meet as many of you as possible, so we will choose the location and date per the availability of the most number of available people.

When and where should we meet in Bangalore

  • 29 September 2017 (Friday) | UB City or nearby (47%, 14 Votes)
  • 2 October 2017 (Monday)| UB City or nearby (27%, 8 Votes)
  • 30 September 2017 (Saturday) | Whitefield (20%, 6 Votes)
  • 1 October 2017 (Sunday)| Whitefield (7%, 2 Votes)

Total Voters: 30

Of course, we are also seeking inputs on places to organise the meetup at. It is going to pay for your own food/drinks kind of an evening. So do drop in a line in the comments section about the places you think could host an event of this nature.

Alternatively, this is Bangalore, and if someone already has a place which can be set aside for a few hours in the evening such as at WeWork or another co-working space, we can also look at those options. Drop me a line at ajay at livefromalounge dot com if you are able to help.

I’ll create a separate RSVP thread once we are ready to invite all you guys over as well!
