Members can refer up to 5 members every calendar year and while you have an opportunity to earn up to 50,000 bonus points your referrals can earn up to 10,000 bonus points. How this works is that you get to earn 2,000 bonus points for each stay your referrals make, up to 5 stays per referral. That make it 50,000 bonus points for you. Your friends/ referrals also earn 2,000 bonus points simultaneously for their first 5 stays. That makes it 10,000 bonus points for them.
Bear in mind that new members must sign up through Reward a Friend program and mention their sponsor’s name and Marriott Rewards account number. The good thing is that new Marriott members have 365 days from their enrollment day to complete the 5 qualifying paid stays so that the bonus points can be credited to both accounts
This is a particularly good time to refer someone new who has Marriott stays coming up. Marriott is currently running some great promotions where members can earn a free night certificate by completing just 2 stays and 45,000 points by just being active on social media.
While Ajay has been a Marriott Rewards Gold members for a few years now, I don’t have a Marriott Rewards account. So, I am going to sign up with Ajay’s referral. If things go well Ajay and I just manage to complete 2 stays, we could both land up together with a free night certificate and a minimum of 8,000 bonus points. Plus Marriott Rewards points now come handy for SPG stays as well. If you need a referral, do write to us and we will be happy to send you one at the earliest.
