Seeking inputs for our Delhi Points & Pints meetup

One of the things we’ve heard a lot of requests for is to organise informal meetups with the members of the community that we have been building over a period of many years now. We kicked it off with a meetup in Bangalore last weekend.

The Bangalore meetup was a full house and up to capacity as much as the restaurant could give us. In Mumbai, we’ve gotten a bigger space. It is coming this weekend, so if you are in Mumbai and want to come over, do RSVP here.

Time for Delhi. I’ve obviously gotten tonnes of requests for Delhi and I’ll make it work as well, but having gone from the city for a while, I’m not in on the logistics required. I’ve asked a few friends and readers to help, but the first part is to put the date and place to vote to ensure as many of you can join in as possible. The objective is to meet as many of you as possible, so we will choose the location and date per the availability of the most number of available people.

Having said that, 8th October is Karwa Chauth, so be aware of that, and also that Gurgaon is not Delhi. Personally, I like Aerocity as it is the mid point for everyone. However, if Gurgaon works for everyone then also happy to be in Gurgaon. Vote below.

When should we meet?

  • Evening/11 October Wednesday (38%, 10 Votes)
  • Evening/ 8 October Sunday (31%, 8 Votes)
  • Afternoon/14 October Saturday (31%, 8 Votes)

Total Voters: 26

Of course, we are also seeking inputs on places to organise the meetup at. It is going to pay for your own food/drinks kind of an event. So do drop in a line in the comments section about the places you think could host an event of this nature. I’m totally clueless I have to admit at the moment.

Alternatively, if someone already has a place which can be set aside for a few hours such as at a coworking space, we can also look at those options. Drop me a line at Ajay at livefromalounge dot com if you are able to help.

I’ll create a separate RSVP thread once we are ready to invite all you guys over as well!

  1. Soi 7 and Raasta at Cyber Hub can be good options, considering there are long tables for everybody to sit together and the music is not too loud, so we all can talk to each other as well.
