Referrals for Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) Invited program get you free nights

Last year I wrote about how Small Luxury Hotels(SLH) of the world was offering a direct sign up for their second tier, Loved status to AMEX Platinum, MasterCard and Diners Club card holders.

SLH is a consortium of  500+ boutique properties across 80 countries and it runs a membership program under the name INVITED. This is a 3 tiered membership (Special, Loved and Honored) and it is completely free to join the program.

Last night I was taking a look at the participating hotels in the SLH and came across their Refer a Friend Programme. Turns out if you are an SLH member you can invite up to 3 friends and earn a free night the first time your friends complete a stay.

In order for an INVITED Member to receive a complimentary night via the Refer a Friend Programme, the member needs to simply log in to their Member profile at SLH.com and submit a friend’s email address. Keep in mind that a maximum of 3 email addresses can be submitted and any friend being recommended must be new to the INVITED program.

Then the recommended friend must join the INVITED program and book a stay with an INVITED qualifying rate code. Once your friend completes their stay a complimentary night unique voucher code will be sent your account. The complimentary night code is valid for a period of one year and can be used at participating hotels. The free night entitles the member to a standard double room accommodation for two people.

While most of the properties in the SLH portfolio are expensive, I did manage to find some beautiful hotels in the USD 100 range.

Bottom line

If you don’t have an affinity to a particular hotel chain and would like to earn a free night then this offer is worth considering. For instance if you are travelling as a group to Phuket you can easily get rooms in a beach retreat for USD 90/ INR 6,000. And if your friends book through referral you’ll get to score a couple of free nights.

Are you planning to benefit from this promotion? Share with us your experience if you are an SLH member or have stayed at hotels in their portfolio.
