Jet Airways’ 3 new flights to Europe tomorrow onwards

Tomorrow is going to be a big day for Jet Airways. They have been working tirelessly to make their triple flight launch from India a success. Tomorrow, 9W will launch a new flight connecting Bangalore to Amsterdam, and another new flight between Chennai and Paris. They made a couple of nice videos to mark three new flights of Jet Airways to Europe.

Not just that, they also have a third flight launching to go on to London from Mumbai tomorrow as well.  To mark the occasion, the airline is offering 4x miles as well.

I don’t think I’ve seen them as aggressive in a very long time, and I hope this aggression stays and new routes get opened by them more frequently rather than just a stable ship which is not growing.

Anyone flying the new routes tomorrow and interested in doing a trip report? I had all the intention to go to one of the flights, but I have a busy schedule next week onwards and it did not work out for me.

Great news Jet Airways!

Do you know from your ‘sources’ when jet is going to start taking deliveries of 787s? Or has that programme been shelved for good?

I’m fed up of the old tattered 777s flying to London! And direct flight options are only AI and BA, both of which have sub par business class hard products.

Stuck with jet. Guess they know that too. So why bother upgrading aircraft. Indian mindset! Never improve. Bottom line: chal raha hai theek toh chalne doh! Hope they are not following that principle.

    • @VK No one is saying a thing about 787s. Postponed again. I like 9W 77W biz but I know they haven’t done much in years now.

      • Their product is definitely nice. Just that they can do better considering current 1-2-1 business classes on other airlines (rev herringbone on Cathay, Qatar and even AA 777-300er is much more modern and an overall nicer experience).

But I suppose they won’t upgrade any seats on existing 777 at present as putting new ones in a 787 would make more sense give $ cost.

Plus their JP programme has gone from great to bad over the last few years. Well, I will continue to fly them as there is no good direct alternative since Virgin discontinued flights to Bombay.
