Register for Hilton Honors ‘Points Unlimited’ Promo

After Starwood Preferred Guest and Marriott Rewards announced 2018’s first promotions, Hilton Honors is out with the details of their first 2018 promotion where members can start earning bonus points right from their first stay.

Hilton Honors Points Unlimited promotion

This promotion is called “points unlimited”, perhaps as a slap in the face of their peers who capped their promotions, and will allow members to earn:

  • 2000 bonus points on every stay
  • An additional 10,000 bonus points on every fifth stays

Unlike Marriott’s 2018 MegaBonus promotion, Hilton’s unlimited points promotion does not put a restriction on the maximum number of points you can earn during this promotion. Members must register here and book directly with Hilton to get the extra points for stays between January 1 and April 30, 2018. The good thing about this offer is that all Hilton brands globally are participating, except for Hampton by Hilton properties in Mainland China.

There is a real good chance to maximise this offer if you do a number of short stays next year. And if you complete stays in multiple of 5 you’ll really end up earning an average of 4,000 points per stay which is not bad.

Another good thing is that these offers are stackable. If you are looking at stay options for next year, Hilton is running a sale at hotels across Asia-Pacific region for stays all through 2018. So definitely worth looking at the prices in this sale.

Bottomline:

Hilton’s aim through this promotion is to induce a direct booking habit among travellers by rewarding them with extra points and while booking hotels stays via OTAs may appear like you get the best price deal, like I’ve written before about why booking your hotel stays with a travel agent is not always a smart choice.

Like I always say it does not cost anything to register for these promotions, so register now and forget about it. A rewards night at a Hilton hotel starts at 5,000 Honors points so it won’t hurt if you do end up earning a few thousand extra points.

What do you think about the latest Hilton Honors promotion? Love it? Hate it? Forget it?
