5 Airlines are spreading Christmas Cheer this year!

Tis the season to be jolly! The Christmas season also means that lots more people are also travelling for the holidays to reunite with their families or to bring in the new year with fun and cheer in a new destination; just the way we did in Sydney last year. There is a Christmas Special in store for everyone.

If you are flying over the next few days, airlines are leaving no unturned to spread the festive cheer up the air and help you celebrate with gifts, treats and special Christmas menus.

Jet Airways

Passengers travelling on Jet Airways‘ flights from India to London are being served Christmas delicacies like Roast Chicken and Yule Log. On Christmas Eve(December 24th), everyone onboard will be able to savour roast chicken.The special festive menu will be served until December 31, 2017

Emirates

Emirates is serving a Christmas menu through December for passengers travelling from Dubai to Australia, Europe, the United States or the United Kingdom and those travelling from the UK to Dubai.

If you are flying economy, you can enjoy rolled turkey buffé served with cranberry jus lié, mashed potatoes, Vienna chicken sausages and seasonal vegetables. For desserts, there are festive sweets such as a lemon cranberry cake with cream cheese frosting. Business and First Class passengers will get a special treat of Santa-inspired macaroons and hot chocolate served with marshmallows and gingerbread.

With children being most excited about Christmas, the airline has introduced Noel, the polar bear for their young flier this holiday season.

Not just that, the IFE also has some Christmas classics that you will get up in the holiday spirit.

Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic has put a new spin this festive season by releasing a special red edition of salt and pepper shakers and is encouraging travellers to steal the shakers from the Upper Class cabins.

These cute aeroplane shaped shakers are on top of the list of the most stolen commodity from the cabins. They were discontinued at one point in time due to the volumes being stolen, however, they are back this festive season with an all-new festive red avatar.

British Airways

British Airways has created a dedicated Christmas channel called Festive Cheer on its in-flight entertainment system. This channel is showing a number of classic Christmas films including Home Alone and Elf. Television programmes include The Office Christmas Special and audio treats such as Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

Singapore Airlines

If you are booked on Singapore Airlines this festive season look out for the Red Christmas Tea.  Made from the rooibos plant, this fragrant theine-free blend from TWG Tea has a burst of flavours and spices right from hibiscus and orange peel to cinnamon and ginger, to capture the spirit of Christmas.

The airline is also serving Christmas-themed dishes in all cabin classes that include the allspice and orange-peel sous vide turkey.
