IHG Rewards Club runs the most exciting promotions. There is the new task-driven Accelerate that I’ve already written about.  Then yesterday I shared the details of More Stays. More Points. More Rewards! Offer where members can earn up to 71k bonus points by completing 3 stays through 2018.

However one of their most lucrative promotions is the IHG Book Direct promotion they launched in April last year where you get a 1,000 bonus points just for registering and then another 39,000 points for completing 3 paid stays between March 12 and December 31, 2018.

This is a targeted offer where members will get 1,000 bonus points just for registering and then another 39,000 points for completing 3 stays through December 31, 2018. The bonus points will be earned in the following way :

• 1,000 points for registration
• 5,000 points after completing the first Qualifying Stay
• 9,000 points after completing the second Qualifying Stay
• 15,000 points on completion of third Qualifying Stay
• 10,000 points additional bonus after completing all the three stays

This promotion is open for stays at IHG hotels in Asia (except Greater China), the Middle East and Africa and eligible members must register for this promotion. It appears that IHG’s registration link is experiencing technical glitch lately, so if you get an error message it’s best to contact IHG Rewards Club. Keep in mind that the points will take between 2-3 weeks to reflect in your account.

Bottomline:

Time to log into your account and check if you’ve been targeted for IHG Book Direct offer. I am not eligible for this year’s Book Direct promotion, but I did register for the 71k bonus points offer yesterday. Another good thing about these bonus points offer is that you can combine it with your Accelerate offer. I’ve done it in the past and earned 75k bonus IHG Rewards Club points, and if I combine my offers this year, I’ll earn close to a 100k IHG Rewards Club points.

Remember, 40k points are good enough to get a night’s stay at the Intercontinental in Bangkok and Pattaya. Even better you decide to use these points for PointsBreak you could get a straight 8 nights stay for 5,000 points each night.
