If you are passing through the 6 metro airports in India, you will notice the queues move faster here on. This is because there will be a simplified security process going forward at these airports. How does that sound??

One of the byproducts of not having enough high value currency in circulation is that people no longer have money to pay parking charges at the airport. Hence, parking across all Indian airports is free for the whole week going forward.
Bangalore airport has issued a notification about their plans to close the runway in 2017 early for about 2.5 months for the construction of new rapid exit taxiways. This is going to affect everyone’s schedules I presume. More details inside.
Bangalore Airport is considering the use of Biometrics to allow access to the airport terminal. This is a new use case for the Aadhar system, so let’s see how they move forward from paper first to thumbprint first without going through the mobile first processes.

A few weeks back, I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Bangalore, the first hotel for the brand in India. I also discovered their impeccable and intuitive service, as well as the Ladies & Gentlemen at work. Pretty impressive short stay, reviewed for you.
One of the two lounges at Bangalore Airport’s domestic operations, this one serves a delicious meal and has a lot of space for the travellers. Here is a review of my visit to this lounge.
A few days ago, I happened to read a news article, where it discussed that the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), the authority responsible for aviation security setup across India, had ordered to remove the special screening queue for Business & First Class passengers. The argument used by BCAS was: We can’t have empty queues at Business Class queue when Economy queues have all the rush. According to another report, the segregation already was repealed as of February 26, 2015. However, while passing through Delhi earlier this month, I did not see these measures implemented. Just yesterday, I was at Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 2, and I noticed that the special queue for Business/First Class passengers for passport control was…

Except in India so far, where paper boarding passes are used to go through the abuse of the security check, with stamps to signify that a security screening was done. However, there is change coming through. Jet Airways has recently partnered with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, the people responsible for security of the civil aviation flights in the Indian skies. This is a good move after the security requirement for a printed ticket was shot down.…
There have been two major issues I’ve had with the Bangalore BIAL Airport for as long as I remember. Having used the airport based inside the city, I find the current airport too far away, and one can’t predict travel times to the airport since you can only go by the road. The other one was, the lack of a lounge for most airlines, except for Kingfisher Airlines. Then, they rebranded the Kingfisher Airlines lounge as the Pause Lounge. However, it looks like the troubles for accessing lounges in Bangalore Airports may now be over. As of March this year, Plaza Premium opened up a couple of lounges at Bangalore, one at the Domestic side of the terminal, and one…
