I just flew the British Airways Boeing 787-9 from London to Mumbai in First Class. Here are some initial pictures to tell you more about what a good flight this was with some attentive hospitality on board.

British Airways is currently offering 3x the usual base Avios on flights travelled through this quarter. Maybe this is a good time to get up to 600% Avios per flight flown. Here is all we know.
Wow! A single travel agent scooped away 20 million Avios before British Airways acted! This is the story of a man who went behind bars because he stole air miles and got arrested for the same! And his other idiot acts!!
One of the many perks of holding the Citi Prestige Credit Card is the tie-up they have with BA, where members get a tier upgrade if they fly British Airways within the first year of membership. Also, they get 5000 free Avios, which is good for a short flight in most parts of the world.

The summary is that if you buy cheap tickets, you get less miles and less tier points, however if you buy a high fare or a premium cabin ticket, things get better for you. Here is the official statement from BA. All these changes come into effect April 28, 2015. From a burning perspective, the changes have gotten positive, not!. Reader Deovrat alerted me to some changes they are going to be making to the structure of the Executive Club for bookings made from April 28, 2015 onwards. Tickets booked before April 28, 2015 will earn Avios at the old rates. Earning Changes: On a first look, it looks like BA is going the way of awarding more miles to higher fares, and snipping it from the lower & deep discounted economy tickets. Overall, a positive change for people booking closer to date of departure and by deduction higher fares. Minimum amount of…
PremierMiles Devaluation w.e.f. February 1, 2015 PremierMiles to Etihad Guest conversion PremierMiles to Air India Flying Returns conversion PremierMiles to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer conversion I slacked up a bit on the PremierMiles conversion series due to Vistara’s launch last week, and an otherwise busy calendar. But let’s get cracking once again. One of the most interesting and useful points in the oneworld alliance are those of British Airways. A few years ago, they started calling them Avios, and this is the mileage currency used by British Airways as well as Iberia at the moment. Avios transfers frequently offer bonuses to credit card partners, at least once a year, but we haven’t seen any for 2015 at this point of time…
