Alright, I did not intend to trick you all with that statement, but you sure do know how frustrating it can be to look out for awards to fly on Jet Airways metal. They have the suites in F but these are never available, and the herringbones in J come right at the end if there are any left. Heck, of late even the Y seats are hard to find.
But it looks like you finally have some redemption opportunities this summer and you should see if you want to use your JP Miles or partner miles to book up these seats.Some folks on FT managed to look up lots of availibility this afternoon (India time) and managed to snag some J seats. Others are not far behind. I looked up the routes again, and I can confirm I saw some space open up in J this afternoon on flights to BRU and HKG and LHR. If you don’t believe your eyes look at this.
However, do note that there are quite a few open seats in economy and I see them as far as October 2012 as of now. The availability in J is patchy, but it is there on some dates, so lap it up while it lasts.
The Jet Airways seats in Premiere are my favourite, because they are the equivalent of F class in an American legacy carrier. Flat bed seats, herringbone configuration, they still serve champagne, and good one at that! Here are some pictures from one of the recent trips in Jet Airways Premiere.
