SPG offering Instant Gold [targeted]

For all my travels, I am not to be seen at SPG properties too often. I did stay with them enough in 2011 to be Gold all of last year (2012), but I was back to being base level this year. But Starwood thinks I am on-track to getting Gold Status this year, so they sent in a mailer this AM, with a targeted upgrade to Instant Gold, all the way to February 2015.

Here is the link to the promotion, as embedded in that email. But since it was targeted, there may be different outputs for you, or none at all.

Frequent Flyer Bonuses reports that he got a promotion for a 1 night free on 1 stay. There may be other individual offers as well.

There is also another easy way to get an SPG Gold status with 1 stay in Asia Pacific.

Do let me know if you got a targeted promotion in the comments section and I’ll update this post accordingly.

  1. I received this targeted offer as well, saying that I had 6 of the 10 stays needed for Gold and that with 2 more stays (8 total) I would receive Gold early. However, I already have 8 stays including the 2 for having the Starwood Credit Card that it does not seem to be including. So I actually only need the 2 additional stays as it is to hit 10. So, this is not as helpful to me as it will be to others. It is still cool that they are doing it though 🙂

  2. You need to have been targeted. If you aren’t, Starwood merely refers you to the Take Two promotion which begins on Sept. 1.
