She said Yes!

We are interrupting scheduled programing for this breaking news update which is now a couple of days old. Like some of you, who connect with me on Social Media platforms such as Twitter already know, I am right now in Paris since last weekend. But I am not alone this time around.

She said Yes!

While I have been lying through my teeth over the past so many weeks about this trip, I’ve been planning a surprise getaway to Paris for my girlfriend, who has been referred to as my partner on this blog before. So, till the time we were on the Jet Airways check-in aisle at Mumbai Airport, the lady did not know we were going to Paris. We flew on Jet Airways’ new Mumbai – Paris service, in one of my best Premiere Class flights to date. It helped that I recognised the crew on the flight, as the in-flight supervisor was someone who I had flown with before and I knew it was going to be a good flight.

Once in Paris, we’ve been all over the place, exploring Paris like at least I haven’t done before, and I’d blocked off Tuesday as Rest Day. We were staying at the Radisson Blu Le Metropolitian for the night, which is in eyeshot of the Eiffel, and someone wondered why were we not going to the Eiffel Tower.

I’d already booked dinner at one of the Eiffel Tower restaurants, but I was not going to tell. We went over sufficiently ahead of time to take a walk before we went for dinner. And then, somewhere at the Champ de Mars, I proposed. Thankfully, there were no surprises. She said Yes!

Flytographer was there to capture the occasion, and we were over to the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant right after to celebrate our engagement.

Now, back to exploring Paris before I get over to Mumbai on a Jet Airways flight tomorrow again (only if they won’t have screwed up with our online check in options!)

And now, back to regular scheduled programming!
