JetPrivilege now offers Business Rewards and corporate co-branded card with Amex

JetPrivilege is on a roll with launching new features this year. First, they introduced the new minimum accrual for Jet Airways flights at 500 miles minimum. Then they added to it the new redemption chart where there were some improvements and some devaluations. Then, they launched Family pooling of JetPrivilege miles, along with the ability to earn miles for kids.

Now, the new one. Just last week they’ve launched the ability for businesses to earn JPMiles. To be able to earn JPMiles for Businesses, the only way it is possible, is to sign up for the newly launched Jet Airways corporate co-branded card with American Express.

By signing up for the card, you get a company-level account to accumulate JetPrivilege Miles in. Which means apart from employees, even the business earns miles for all sorts of expenses made on their employee’s corporate cards.

The Corporate Card can be applied for by businesses, and earns 3 JPMiles/INR 100 spent on travel and entertainment expenses (such as hotels & restaurants spend), while you get 6 JPMiles/INR 100 spent when booking tickets on www.jetairways.com. If you make a certain amount of spend on Jet Airways, you get additional mileage accrual as well into the company’s business miles account. Here is the table that captures the spend, excluding taxes paid on tickets. The spend is reset to Zero every twelve months anniversary (from the date of enrolment).

Mileage Accrual (Employees and Businesses)

With the new program, both employees and businesses earn miles for spends. 75% of the miles for the spend go to the employees personal JP account, and 25% of the miles for the spend go to the JP account of the company.

5% discount on tickets with Jet Airways

For domestic tickets, the business gets a 5% discount (base fare+fuel surcharge) when tickets are booked at jetairways.globallinker.com. For International tickets where travel originates out of India, a 5% discount is offered only on the base fare component.

Signup bonus: 10,000 JPMiles

Each corporate card enrolled gets a signup bonus of 10,000 JPMiles, which will go to the account of the holder of the card, not the company.

Taj Hotels’ Rebate

The third part of this corporate co-brand effort is the Taj Hotels group, which will also provide rebates for stays made at participating hotels by issuing Taj-Amex co-branded gift vouchers. You get rebates between 8% to 15% depending on your stays across Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, Vivanta By Taj Hotels and Resorts, The Gateway Hotels and Resorts and Ginger Hotels. However, the rebate is only applicable if the company spends at least INR 1 Lakh in a year with the Taj Group.

Eligibility: Any business with a turnover of more than INR 5 Crores per annum will be able to apply for this co-branded card.

Fees: The fees for every member enrolled is INR 2,500 for the first year, and INR 4,900 second year onwards.

Why go for it?

Most business would not have a negotiation capacity to go with the size of their operations. With this tie-up, companies get access to a nice suite of benefits and discounts for a small price. For employees, they always had the opportunity to earn Membership Reward points even on corporate cards, but this makes life better by offering them a currency with they can directly spend for air travel.
