SPG Gold with a single stay for APAC members

One of the easiest way to get Starwood’s Gold status, is to have an address in the Asia Pacific, hold a MasterCard World or MasterCard World Elite, and make just one eligible stay.

You of course, need to register here, before you get started with the process.

Starwood’s SPG Gold status confers on you the following benefits:

    • 4pm late checkout
    • Complimentary welcome gift
    • 50% more Starpoints
    • Room upgrades at check-in when available

I don’t count on it much since Starwood’s benefit recognition for elites varies significantly, but the one consistent bit is the 50% extra starpoints you earn as a Gold member.

This is an offer that has gone on for a few years now and I posted about it last year and the year before as well.

The facts you need for your upgrade are the first 6 digits of your MasterCard, SPG number and Email address. There is a new requirement for a Bank Promotion Code as well, which can be had from your own bank.

I’ve generally noticed that banks are clueless about this information. If you have trouble finding out from your bank, feel free to drop me an email at ajay @ livefromalounge dot com and I will send you the Bank Promo Code I have.

This is a nice way to get status back in case you lost status with Starwood recently.

  22. Getting a code is little difficult. i checked with citi bank & Master card both referred to each other. Ajay gave me a code what he had that also did not work.
