Etihad offering bonus 2x/3x miles on their Mumbai A380 flights

Etihad Airways got themselves some A380’s a couple of years ago, and they currently have one of the best premium cabin products in the sky. No wonder, they took on the tagline, “Flying Reimagined”

Their A380s currently operate flights around the world, including New York, London, Sydney and Melbourne. In November 2015, they announced their plans to bring their flagship product to Mumbai as of May 2016.

Now, as the launch date closes in, Etihad is starting to promote their product in the market. One of the promotions is a 2x/3x miles promotion on Etihad Guest for people who are going to book flights between today and May 31, 2016 for travel between May 1, 2016 and May 31, 2016 on the Etihad A380 flight from/to Mumbai (EY204/203). One needs to register for this promotion here beforehand.

If you will fly in the economy cabin, you get double the usual redeemable miles if you choose to bank them on Etihad Guest, while if you will fly a premium cabin (Business/First/Residence), you get triple the usual redeemable miles. I think these should count even on transit flights and not just origin/destination flights. Of course, it is a great product, one which I happened to experience in First Class/Apartments in January 2016 on my way back from New York on the #redcarpettrip.

Bottomline

The Etihad A380 is one of the best products out there, and if you’re planning a trip, it is well worth it to add on some bonus miles on the side to make your experience even better. Too bad for me, I had to cancel my own trip on the A380 because I just could not find the time.
