HDFC Bank Diners Club extends 10x points promotion

HDFC Bank Diners Club has been running a 10X promotion with select partners for a very long time now. The list of partners changed slightly in the past few months, but essentially, focuses on travel and e-shopping. Since April 2016, they have extended the promotion on a monthly basis (April and May), but I expect them to run this promotion through the rest of the year, since they announced that by mistake.

Anyhow, the latest is that they are now offering 10x points to those who shop on their websites till June 30, 2016. Here is a list of the partners:

Just as a recap, you earn the following points on your cards with the various variants on the merchants mentioned above:

  • Rewardz: 3 points/INR 150 + 27 points/INR 150 bonus [Total 30 points/INR 150]. Monetary Value of INR 22.5 [15% cashback]
  • Premium: 4 points/INR 150 + 36 points/INR 150 bonus [Total 40 points/INR 150]. Monetary Value of INR 30 [20% cashback]
  • Black: 5 points/INR 150 + 45 points/INR 150 bonus [Total 50 points/INR 150]. Monetary Value of INR 50 [33% cashback]

That gives us another month with this card, and I hope this game continues to be played till eternity, or HDFC Bank just confirms in one go the entire year. This continues to be the most lucrative promotion in the current year.

    I am having HDFC Diners premium card for more than 8 months. I have accumulared 25k points on it. Now I am looking to upgrade to Diners Black. But as per comments from some other members, HDFC reducing the value of points to much lower extend.
    So to avoid it can I convert to Air miles? and Then apply for Diners black card upgrade?
    I am very new to Air miles and have not much knowledge about it. Also I am not having any plan for Domestic or International travel in immediate future. Please suggest.

  4. Had a good experience with Diners service. After HDFC horror stories, thought to post about it.

    I have a Diners Rewardz Card. Was trying to burn some points on a Domestic US flight booking on United using HDFC Diners portal but the booking failed, twice. While I was about to give us, got a phone call from Diners support, who walked me through the booking over the phone to a successful redemption.

    Good experience overall. Of course, I am fairly sure this call was probably from Loylty Rewardz guys who run the Diners portal, you can see their logo on the bottom.

    can somebody help me in understanding how to see the diners card statement online, I am now at my wits end talking to HDFC phone banking….pl. help.

    I can only see the monthly statement but can not see anytime statement like the ICIC bank statement login…

    I applied for supplementary card for my wife.
    Does the supplementary card have free lounge access?

  8. I just got the Diners Premium recently (hoping for the Black eventually). Regarding the 10X partners, can you confirm if the incremental points are credited within 7 days or end of statement date?

    I could do a rough calculation and could make out the the snapdeal 10X points came within 3-4 days. But the goibibo 10X points are still not credited and its been 10 days.

    I wish they have a point calculation table for users like Amex does…

    P.S.: How much time should I wait until I request for a credit limit upgrade. The Diners Premium came without any enhancement of limit for me.

  9. Does this apply to the HDFC Diners Jet Privilege card as well? The text in the creenshot posted in the blog above refers to HDFC Bank Diners Club credit cards, which should in theory apply to the JP card, since it is a Diners. But I don’t see it listed lower down in the post, where you’ve mentioned Rewardz, Premium and Black.
