Citi’s 15% discount for Airbnb

Citibank has been running a promotion, where they are offering a 15% discount for Citibank debit and credit card holders, except Corporate Cards, on booking a stay via Airbnb.

The promotion entails using your Citibank credit/debit card only on a new Airbnb account. The definition of new means a new email account registered with Airbnb. You need to make a minimum reservation for INR 10000 (excluding Airbnb fees and cleaning charges), and the stay needs to be booked by July 31, 2016 but can be completed by January 31, 2017.

You can only use the promotion to book a place to stay outside India, and add-on cards are treated as separate cards in this case. The maximum available discount is INR 3,500.Each card is valid for 1-time use, and the promotion code for this is CITIxxxxxx where xxxxxx are the first 6 digits of your Citibank Credit Card/Debit card. Only India issued cards are valid for this promotion.

I’ve never tried out Airbnb myself, but I sure do plan to try it out as well. If you do not have an Airbnb account, maybe you could sign up using my Airbnb referral link, and you get about INR 1,135 in credit, which you can apply towards your next reservation as well.

Bottomline

There seems to be an increasing army of people who are now using Airbnb instead of a conventional hotel. I’ve also spotted some good Airbnb apartments, and do intend to give it a shot. This deal is a great one to make an airbnb reservation and get a handsome discount on it as well.

Readers, will you be making a reservation with Airbnb with this discount promotion?
