Free Uber rides with MasterCard

One of the best ways to pay for an Uber ride is without having to touch cash, right? Uber used to be able to charge our card directly till they had to move to using Wallet services to store balance in an attempt to be in line with the Two-Factor authentication rules.

However, Uber has continued to offer the possibility to pay with your credit cards issued in India, except you need to manually authorize every payment. I use this mode to charge my Diners Club card every day when paying for my Uber rides (10x rewards).

Having said that, Uber along with MasterCard is right now promoting a great offer for its riders. Every fourth ride free!

Here is what you need to do, first and foremost, add a new Payment method and add a MasterCard Credit Card towards your payments. Every fourth ride will be either made free if the amount is less than INR 150, or discounted by INR 150. Only the rides paid with a MasterCard count for the fourth ride free promotion. Also, the rides could be anywhere in India. The promotion is valid till February 28, 2017.

If you still are not on Uber, they operate in over 30 cities in India right now, and are my go-to app to get somewhere around the world. You could sign up using this link and get INR 50 off your first 3 rides.
