35% off on Redemption at Starwood’s 8 most Luxurious Resorts

Last year Starwood Preferred Guest launched a redemption promotion where SPG members could redeem award nights at 35% off at 8 of Starwood’s most expensive resorts. This offer that was initially valid until February 28, 2017 has now been extended until next year through February 2018.

Just like last year there are 8 resorts participating. The amazing this is that there are no black out dates that apply and award stays under this promotion will count towards the elite status milestones.

  • W Retreat Koh Samui, Thailand
  • The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket, Thailand
  • Vana Bella, a Luxury Collection Resort, Koh Samui, Thailand
  • W Maldives, North Ari Atoll, Maldives
  • The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort, French Polynesia
  • Le Meridien Bora Bora, French Polynesia
  • Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, a Luxury Collection Resort, Dubai, UAE
  • Mystique, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Santorini, Greece

While the promotion website is still not updated, we’ve heard that the participating resorts are accepting reservations under this promotion.

Redemption nights start at 26,000 Starpoints  in Thailand and French Polynesia and go all way up to 58,500 Starpoints for the W Retreat and Spa in the Maldives. You can also combine the 5th night free offer along with the 35% off which will further bring down the cost by another 20%. Hence a 5 night stay at The Naka Island, Phuket that usually costs 1,60,000 Starpoints can be availed at 1,04,000 Starpoints. That’s a very sweet deal !

Though something to keep in mind is that award nights under this offer cannot be booked online and you will need to call the SPG contact center for reservations and quote the offer.  Also, there is no upper limit on the numbers of times you can use this offer to make award bookings during the promotion period.

Also, last year onwards SPG and Club ITC members can use their points on each other’s properties. So if you are falling short of Starwood points and have a Club ITC points you can always convert your ITC Club Green points to Starpoints in the ratio of 2:1.

Bottomline:

This promotion is making some of the best resorts accessible at a really good deal. If you have been planning on redeeming your stash of Starpoints for a vacation then this is a great promotion to make use of especially with the 5th night free.

I’m already counting my SPG points for Koh Samui.  What about you?

  1. Every time I call for the st regis bora bora, they cannot find this offer. Is there a code or something they can reference?

    • @David There isin’t a mention of any reservation code in the T&Cs. Though the offer is listed as ‘Paradise is Closer’
