One of the airlines I forever look out to travel on is Singapore Airlines. With good connections to the US, I’ve always had a good journey with them, be it in Economy, Business or First Class. Haven’t gotten around to travelling in their Premium Economy Class however. I also always give credit to Singapore Airlines for being the first to fly their A380 to India once Indian airports were ready to receive it.
Another change the airline is making to their schedule is adding their latest plane, the A350-900, to their Mumbai flight schedule as of July 1. Singapore Airlines started inducting the A350-900 last year in March, and intended to use it for most of its long-haul operations. They have 67 of these on order. SQ is the biggest customer for the A350-900s, and will receive 7 of these in an ultra-long-haul make which will fly them back to the USA non-stop.
The A350-900 for SQ has 253 seats, and no First Class on this plane. The configuration is 42 business class seats, along with 24 in premium economy and 187 in Economy.
The A350-900 operations will replace the existing B77W operation on this sector.

How has been your experience on the Airbus 350-900 of Singapore Airlines?
I am flying A350 on LH business shortly on BOM FRA..hope it lives upto expectation.
I have flown Singapore A350 for two segments in J and it is just not up to standard. Terrible hard bed, noisy aisle flooring, and the galley can’t support a full J cabin.
Its not that great, actually. Feels much more cramped in Y compared to the 777, and I wasn’t impressed with my one flight in PY. Flying to BOM in J in December on this, but I expect that will be just like any other SQ J.
