IndiGo’s workhorse is the A320. They take the plan across the country and have about 1000 flights operating across the country every day on these A320s. For the past ten years, IndiGo A320 Classic and Neos have had 30 rows of seats across the plane.
Now, with the new planes being brought into the fold, IndiGo has chosen to go for the Space-Flex variant, where the rear galley and lavatories have been redesigned.
In the new cabin layout, a smaller galley is designed, and the lavatories will be installed in the same unit as the galley rather than on the left and right of the centre aisle. This should allow for one more full row of seats if the airline chooses to install seats there. In this case, IndiGo has exercised the option to go for it. I totally see the fit for IndiGo given they don’t have to stack meals on the plane for customers and can do with lesser galley space.

As per IndiGo, as reported by the ToI,
Our A320 Neo (being delivered from later) this month will have six more seats… we have an improved seat pitch (distance from any point on one seat to the exact same point on the seat in front or behind) on these planes by reducing the nine rows having 28 inches pitch to now only seven rows (in) the 186-seaters.
While the new seat map is not in circulation yet, I’d expect the new setup to be installed on VT-ITZ which has just been delivered to the airline on 18 November 2017.
