Free $40 with Singapore Airlines at Changi Airport

Changi Airport has for the longest time, offering free money to those who use Singapore Airlines or Silk Air to transit through Changi to other countries. The amount used to be S$40 but was cut down to S$20 later given the numbers must have swelled up. However, there is a new Singapore Airlines Promotion 2017 which you should know about.

The tickets have to be issued between November 6 and December 15, 2017, to be eligible for the promotion. Travel would have to be completed between November 15 and March 31, 2018. Your ticket needs to have 618/629 ticket codes. Additionally, you need to register 3 days prior to flying to be able to collect your vouchers. The full details are here.

While it may sound complicated, it is well worth the effort if you are going to fly Singapore Airlines anyways. Between me and Shipra, we combined our $40 vouchers to buy stuff from the Duty-free before heading to the USA. Earlier, I’ve used those vouchers to buy cool stuff from the airport such as stationary, and even Kaya Jam as well!

Bottomline

While this promotion makes you jump a few hoops, it is a very good promotion for those who are planning to fly SQ. Do take benefit of the extra benefits while you can.

  1. Awesome article on my favorite airport period. Changi amazes me everytime I’m there, with new things to see and explore. It’s a mini town by itself and it never sleeps. There’s just too much to do and time zips pass just too fast @ Changi without you realising. Changi spoils me rotten and tires me out. With Terminal 4 and Jewel@Changi in the pipeline, much more is in-store and you might need to stay a day longer just to enjoy the new facilities.
    Happy blogging and transiting. ❤

  2. off topic, but any thoughts on the Jet offer (got an email today stating 4th to 6th dec get 40% extra JP miles on purchase – min purchase = 5000 miles) ? worth writing a quick post.
