The CSIA Mumbai Airport Terminal 1 has been in a flux for a while now. They have seen GoAir move to Terminal 1B from 1A. With the move of Air India to Terminal 2 followed by the move of Jet Airways as well, all the full-service airlines had gone away from Terminal 1. So there was no case for a good Mumbai Airport Lounge at this terminal since no airline was going to buy access.
However, in December 2017 we spotted a new lounge in the works and a week later the TFS Travel Club Lounge opened its doors to passengers flying from Mumbai’s Terminal 1C. The lounge is across gate number 44 and is going to operate 24×7.
They are running an opening offer where access to the lounge and buffet are only going to cost INR 660. But you don’t need to pay any more. One of our readers, Neil yesterday shared on our Facebook group that the Travel Club lounge is now accepting the Priority Pass as well.
This is definitely some good news considering waiting at Terminal 1 will now be more comfortable and I wouldn’t mind grabbing a quick bite before my flight. The quality of food at Terminal 2 lounges will now be offered on Terminal 1 as well, which is good news because only no-frill airlines operate from here, and this means eating on the ground will definitely be better than on the flight.
Have you visited the new Travel Club lounge in Terminal 1 at Mumbai Airport? We’d love to hear your experience in the lounge.
