There is a great fare being offered right now, which to me looks like a deal one should jump on right now, and plan the trip later. Air Canada is offering flights between Hong Kong to Boston for $162 round trip right now, in Economy Class.
The fares are available on Google Flights or on Momondo, and is certainly a marvellous fare to book into for over 20 hours in the air and some transit time on the ground built in!
There are many open dates available at the moment, from February to September 2018. Here is a sample itinerary you can check out for yourself and play with the dates!
But if Boston is not your gig, you can also head to Washington DC at a similar price. For about $172, there are a lot of flights between Hong Kong and Washington DC as well!
I’ve booked one of these flights and I can confirm the flight books out and Air Canada also allows for a seat selection. Of course, I would advise not to make any further arrangements such as positioning flights for a few days more till we find out how this works out!

AFAIK Canada requires a transit visa for Indian nationals (even if you have a valid US visa). So my advice to anyone booking these fares – please check if there is a stopover in Canada and assess your visa situation before the booking!
