Jazeera Airways Mumbai to Kuwait launching in May

Kuwaiti low-cost carrier Jazeera Airways, which has a massive focus on India, ahead of their long-haul expansion plans, had in November last year launched their operations in India with a daily flight between Kuwait and Hyderabad. Since then, the next ports of call they wanted to make in India were Mumbai, Kochi and Ahmedabad.

After a while, they also launched flights between Kochi and Kuwait, which went live in February 2018. Now, there is a Mumbai connector that will launch on May 9, 2018, operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft.

The flight timings are great and suited very well for working in both places since you can depart after a full days work in Kuwait and then arrive for a full day in Mumbai. On the return segment as well, you get a full day on both segments, which is a good schedule compared to what Jet Airways has on offer on the route.

IndiGo still does not fly to Kuwait City, and Air India does not have a direct flight between Mumbai and Kuwait, so this makes Jazeera have a great shot at the Mumbai Kuwait traffic. They don’t need to get the transfer passengers anyways, because they fly between Kerala and Kuwait direct, as well as Hyderabad.

Have you flown Jazeera Airways? They’d make a great addition to the slew of airlines between India and the Middle-East, and I’ll sure look forward to trying them on one of my trips to Kuwait.

  1. How on earth are these good timings? Arrival at 3am and departure at 4am are about as bad it gets!! Two disrupted nights of close to no sleep, and does not match hotel check in or check out timings. I’d avoid.

  2. Very low yielding sectors, are these guys discount carriers with bare basic amenities or do they have a business class on their flight as well?
