After a couple of flights between Mumbai and Doha, and then Doha to Paris CDG, I had been away from home for about 16 hours or so already now. But I was still not over to Toulouse yet. For the final leg, I had to catch another plane on an Air France ticket which was issued separately to the Qatar Airways reservation. This was the whole reason I did not check-in a bag. I know I wasn’t gone for long, but when you have to pack in a suit, some clothes for the cold and expect to bring home a goodie bag, I’d rather have had a big bag over a small one. And I hate having to remove creases from my suits when they travel with me.
Anyhow, once I landed from the earlier flight thirty minutes early, it gave me a bit more time to be at ease. I cleared immigration and connected on the CDG train this time (not the bus!) to get to my terminal. There, I had a long walk to reach the terminal which Air France operates from, terminal 2F.
Once at the terminal, I walked over to a kiosk to retrieve my boarding pass. Since I don’t have a Flying Blue account or another SkyTeam account, I credited the flight to Jet Airways, where I only got 110% of miles, that too non-elite tier altogether.
While I was not initially planning to check in any bags, I decided to check in my rollerboard, since I was slightly tired lugging it around CDG so far. So I proceeded to a baggage drop counter and dropped my bag.
After going through security check, I proceeded to the secured area. The only lounges in the terminal were operational for Air France elites, and in spite of being on a flexible revenue ticket (highest fare class) on this all economy flight, there was no way I was getting in. There was no Priority Pass lounge in the vicinity as well.
So I bought myself a bottle of water from the many shops in the concessions area, including PAULs and then waited for my flight.
There were some PlayStations for entertainment, but then I am not really a console games kind of person.
As soon as the plane landed, Air France was able to quickly prepare it for the next flight, and within about 20 minutes, we were boarding the flight using self-scanning gates.

It was an all economy flight, so it was good to get a seat in the front of the plane. The seats were all cloth, with little armrests.
Luckily there was more than enough leg space!
The seatbacks were all equipped with cup holders.
Unfortunately, once the doors closed, we were stuck at the gate for about 45 minutes due to the slight rains and something going wrong on the runway as a consequence.
When we took off finally, the crew brought out the cart to do a drinks service. I went with some water and coffee. Segafredo coffee was served. It was a very short flight, so there were cookies and savories to choose from. I hadn’t eaten in a while, so the cookies were welcome.
The rest of the flight was uneventful, and we soon arrived at Toulouse. There, at one side of the Blagnac airport, you can see the Airbus Delivery Centre, which is where two aircraft were parked, an A35K and an A359, both ready to be delivered to Qatar Airways.
While the flight was quick, unfortunately, the bag delivery was not so fast. I waited about 20 minutes before my bag would show up and then was on my way to the airport hotel.
