Avianca’s LifeMiles is one of the most generous frequent flyer programs out of Star Alliance pack. In the recent few years, it has become quite popular with savvy frequent fliers thanks to regular bonus miles offers. Recently, the program announced a new promotion where you’d need fewer miles for award tickets on select routes.
You can save up to 48% when you book using LifeMiles on a number of sectors through September 18, 2018. The offer is valid across the economy and premium cabins on Star Alliance carriers. These redemptions can be booked for travel any time in the future.
A few of the popular routes on offer include Hong Kong – San Fransisco (32,000 LifeMiles in economy and 64,000 in business class), New York (JFK) to Shanghai (60,000 LifeMiles in business class)). You can check out the complete list of routes here.
One of the more interesting redemptions on offer is between Incheon and Los Angeles. A one-first class ticket costs just 72,000 LifeMiles. That same seat goes for around USD 6K/ INR 440K on a regular day!
Key terms and conditions of this promotion include:
- Avianca Call Center and LifeMiles.com only accept international credit cards
- Applicable taxes are not included
- A service fee per ticket is charged for redemptions made on Avianca Call Centers LifeMiles.com and must be paid at the time of the redemption
- Tickets redeemed cannot be transferred to others
LifeMiles a great program to join if you regularly fly on Star Alliance carriers. I make it a point to record my activity with LifeMiles when I fly that one-odd flight on Air India. With this new LifeMiles award sale, you can experience some amazing premium cabins for a lot less.
Have you redeemed LifeMiles for Star Alliance tickets in the past? How was your experience?
