Members would need to book “Flex” or “Flex Plus” fare tickets in any class on Emirates Airlines or “Free to Change” in Economy or “Business Basic” in Business Class on Flydubai. The bonus will apply to new tickets purchased in this period and on the original ticketed class (regardless of subsequent upgrades/changes).

To achieve Silver tier, a member must have 25,000 Tier Miles or take 25 flights. For Gold tier, a member must have 50,000 Tier Miles or take 50 flights, and for Platinum tier, the requirements are 150,000 Tier Miles.

Take a look at a sample booking for the middle of January 2019. An Economy Flex ticket from Dubai to London will earn a Blue Tier Member 9,000 Tier Miles – double the usual 4,500  Tier Miles.

We haven’t figured out our holiday plans yet, but this offer is going to push us to finalise our plans soon and book our tickets this week!

Bottomline

This offer is a great way to accelerate your membership status to Silver, Gold or Platinum in time for the Christmas/New Years Eve holidays. While Emirates’ is not the best for redemptions, the soft benefits, including the lounge and random upgrades are good enough for me to keep an eye on opportunities to knock up my Emirates status.
