NokScoot is a Thai LCC. It is a joint venture between Nok Air of Thailand and Singapore Airlines’ Scoot. NokScoot has a fleet of 5 ex-SIA Boeing 777-200ER. The Boeing 777-200ERs have been reconfigured to feature 24 Business Class and 391 Economy Class seats. NokScoot operates to 6 destinations in China, 2 in Japan and Taipei from its base in Bangkok.
NokScoot recently announced that they would operate a 4x weekly service to New Delhi from Bangkok. They announced the flights two weeks back, and they started operations yesterday (December 18). The flight will have the following schedule,
XW306 DMK 2235 – 0115 (+1 day) DEL 777 x136
XW305 DEL 0255 – 0815 DMK 777 x247
Fares start at INR 14.4 k roundtrip with no add-ons. You can get a 20kg bag if you select Fly Bag and also a meal when you select Fly Bag Eat. Scoot Biz is their version of Business Class which has recliner Business class seats.
NokScoot 777-200ER features three categories of Economy Class in a 3-4-3 layout: Standard, Super, Stretch and Scoot in Silence. All seat assignments are paid.
You do get a 7kg cabin baggage allowance along with an additional 3kg laptop allowance. It is interesting to note many full-service carriers do not offer the extra laptop allowance. If you are planning a last-minute New Year’s Eve vacation, combine this flight with the free Thailand Visa on Arrival to get a good deal.
Another New Delhi-Bangkok connection. This will represent a significant capacity addition as NokScoot will operate a 415 seat 777-200ER. Thai (19x weekly 777 flights), Air India (1x daily A321 and 1x daily 787), Jet Airways (3x daily 737) and SpiceJet (1x daily 737 flights) already operates on the New Delhi-Bangkok route. NokScoot may launch another Indian destination in Q1 2019.
