HDFC Bank is on a roll right now. Just earlier this week we told you about how HDFC Bank is offering up to 5000 points on a 5X promotion for festive in-store spending. Now, comes this new one in partnership with Visa, which offers double the points for using the contactless cards, contactless, of course.
The new HDFC Visa offer gets you double the reward points on your transactions which are made contactless on the newer credit card machines installed by various banks. A contactless transaction is made with tapping the card and no need to enter a PIN, but is only limited to INR 2000 or less.
The promotion is valid on transactions at least INR 150 rupees in price, completed till September 30, 2019. The points come into your account by December 31, 2019. Here are the complete T&C.
On the Infinia card, the Visa variant, this should get you another 2000 INR worth of points on spending INR 60,000 (you get 5 points/INR 150 spent). On the Regalia, similarly, it should get you the complete set of points on spending INR 75,000.
So, there is decent RoI to be had on this promotion, such as 6.6% on the Infinia, if you were willing to be a bit patient and help the cashier understand how to swipe cashless.

Hdfc bank has been offering 5x on samsung pay, which I use for contsctless payments. Cannot add diners black but should work for any other MC or Visa card.
