Marriott Bonvoy Epic Stays in Asia Pacific: Get 5,000 Bonus points + 15% room rate hotel credit!

Marriott has launched a new promotion earlier this week, which offers Marriott Bonvoy Members planning a stay in the Asia Pacific region an opportunity to earn 5,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points and 15% or so hotel credit which can be used towards a unique experience during the stay.

The special rate, called Marriott Bonvoy Epic Stays, is offering members the opportunity to book a stay which earns them 5,000 bonus points on top of their regular earnings and also gives them a 15% room rate credit for use on incidentals such as spa, dinner and so on. You need to book the rate for a minimum of two nights stay from now until March 31, 2020, and complete the stay before July 31, 2020.

Marriott Bonvoy Epic Stays

The promotion, which is being offered at select hotels, gets you in at the same price as the flexible rate, but it gets you hotel credit and 5,000 bonus points per stay. To get this rate, you will need to look for the Unlock Epic Stays rate under the Deals and Packages section.

To take an example, here is the standard rate for Courtyard by Marriott, Agra, for November 2019 for a two-night stay, along with M96 in the promo code field.

When you book on Marriott.com, you need to use promotional code M96 to get the 5,000 points and hotel credit. I find this to be an advantageous rate, and if I am making a revenue booking for two nights somewhere, I will be thinking of using this rate to collect the bonus 5,000 Marriott Rewards points.

Will you be using the Marriott Bonvoy Epic Stays rate for your next Marriott stay?

If you are not a Marriott Bonvoy Member, you can sign up with this link, and get 2,000 points bonus over and above any other promotions for your next five stays.

  1. Marriott is still charging 18% GST for rates under 7500/-
I’ve emailed them on 2nd Oct, yet to get a reply.

    • Same points I have raised yesterday, I have seen Sheraton Hyderabad has adapted the change in thier system and today I spoke to few marriot hotels where I’m staying Monday onwards, they informed me they will charge only 12% not 18%.

    • @Arup, have you “paid” this rate on check-out? All hotels I have talked to are charging new rates from Oct 1. The system shows an approx price on booking, which is still being fixed on a property level, but in terms of charging, they have already moved to the new system. So even if you see 18% for rates under INR 7,500, you will still pay 12% at those properties.

      • Hello Ajay, thanks for the confirmation. I just checked and calculated the tax% it showed up, not ‘paid’ yet. Maybe their IT is still calculating on that older GST.
BTW, full board offer is back, book before 15 Dec & stay before 22 Dec.
