IndiGo managed to secure bilateral rights out of Jet Airways kitty to add 84 weekly international flights. Using those, IndiGo will restart flights to Singapore and Bangkok from Mumbai after a long hiatus of more than six years.

United suspended fligths to India due to closure of Pakistan and Iranian airpsace. With the Pakistan airspace now open, United will resume flights to Mumbai and Delhi from Newark from September 6, 2019. Air Canada will also resume their suspended flights in September 2019.
GoAir expanded its international network by adding flights to Abu Dhabi from Mumbai and Delhi. GoAir is further adding daily flights to Bangkok from Mumbai and Delhi using temporary Jet Airways bilateral rights allocated to them. You can also take advantage of the free visa on arrival in Thailand which has now been extended till October 31, 2019.
There is some great news this morning. Pakistan Airspace is open again, which means, flight timings to Europe and the USA will reduce and those stopovers will go away soon.
IndiGo has further added new flights to the Middle-East from Mumbai and Delhi. Since April 2019, IndiGo has added 12 new international flights.
Lufthansa will no longer fly the A380 to Delhi from January 2020. Instead, it will fly a 747-400 without a first class cabin. Good news is, Lufthansa will roster a premium heavy 747-8 featuring a first class cabin on this route from March 29, 2020.
It’s time to fly the new feeling abroad. Vistara is launching regional international operations next month, flying to Singapore from August 6, 2019. Flights will launch from Delhi and Mumbai in quick succession and will be daily operated.
GoAir is adding 7 new daily international flights. Bookings for flights to Abu Dhabi from Mumbai and Delhi as well as Muscat from Mumbai have started with the first flights scheduled for July 19, 2019.
The IndiGo promoters are fighting for the control of the company and both promoters have sent letters to SEBI in July 2019 sharing their side of the story today. This is not going to go well, I think!
Hyderabad airport has started trials for facial recognition at airport entry gates, entry to security check and boarding gates. Trials are expected to continue till July 31, 2019, and will later be implemented on a full-scale basis.
Adani group won bids to manage 6 AAI airports: Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mangalore, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram. The Cabinet has cleared the transfer of three airports, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Mangalore to Adani group and will clear the rest in the next cabinet meeting.
