Avianca files for bankruptcy protection; LifeMiles are safe as of now

Avianca, the Latin American Star Alliance member airline filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. This means the airline will operate but will restructure its balance sheet. However, this does not seem to have any impact on the airline’s loyalty programme, LifeMiles, at the moment.

Government of India sets ball rolling on Evacuation Flights to India for over 100K people in the days ahead
