Lounge Access now for all Jet Airways domestic flights in Mumbai

One of my prime cringe flying from my home airport, Mumbai, used to be the lack of lounges at Mumbai’s Terminal 1, which handles all domestic flights ex-Vistara. There used be lounges operated before the security hold and after as well, but the one before security got demolished and the one after just got taken over by retail outlets. Hence, only if you got a flight which flew from Terminal 1C, which is the area with the aerobridges, you would get access to the Carnations Lounge in Mumbai.

The good news is, w.e.f. June 1, 2015, there is a new Clipper Lounge at Terminal 1B in Mumbai. This lounge is located on the ground floor post security check in Terminal 1B itself, and hence all the JP elites (Gold/Platinum) and the Jet Airways’ Business Class flyers will be able to access the lounge going forward as per their usual privileges.

Accordingly, the Lounge Access at Mumbai Airport post has been updated.

Has anyone already visited the new Mumbai Clipper Lounge and can send me pictures?

  1. I was in the terminal day before. Went up to the lounge to have a look at it (couldn’t access it as I am not gold/plat). It is a very simple open lounge, small in size. Looks more like a temporary one
