Airbus and Qatar Airways have been in a dispute for about six months now, where Qatar Airways has grounded over 20 A350 jets on the back of paint issues, and as the legal tussle around it escalates, Airbus has now exercised its rights to cancel an order for 50 A321neo aircraft from the airline.

Airbus to replace A380 Final Assembly Line at Toulouse with A320 Family FAL by 2022

Airbus will resume work on installing a new A320/A321 Final Assembly Line in the space earlier occupied by the A380 line. This decision reflects Airbus’ expectation that demand for their narrowbody jets will go up in the days ahead. Airbus already has a backlog of over 5000 jets for this family type.
