The JW Marriott Bengaluru is aptly located in the heart of Bengaluru right next to UB City. This is a Marriott category 4 that is truly luxurious and offers top-notch hospitality. On a recent trip to Bangalore, we stayed at the hotel and here is how our experience went.
The Aloft brand was introduced to recreate the W hotel brand and offer millennials a trendy stay proposition at a lower price point. This was our second stay at an Aloft hotel and I am beginning to grow fond of the brand consistency. Here’s how our stay at the Aloft Bengaluru Whitefield went.
Earlier this month we stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in Bangalore. This is value for money new business hotel that opened about 3 years ago and should be on our list if you are looking for a hotel in the Whitefield area.

One of the two lounges at Bangalore Airport’s domestic operations, this one serves a delicious meal and has a lot of space for the travellers. Here is a review of my visit to this lounge.
There have been two major issues I’ve had with the Bangalore BIAL Airport for as long as I remember. Having used the airport based inside the city, I find the current airport too far away, and one can’t predict travel times to the airport since you can only go by the road. The other one was, the lack of a lounge for most airlines, except for Kingfisher Airlines. Then, they rebranded the Kingfisher Airlines lounge as the Pause Lounge. Hey, they used to give you food coupons to eat in the Food Court, not appreciating that the lounge was not about the food but about the environment. This got fixed last year when Kingfisher evacuated from Bangalore Airport, and this place was made the Pause Lounge, accessible via select credit cards and for 9W elites & Business class travellers. I haven’t been able to sample this lounge for my few trips to Bangalore all this year, so this was my first time when I actually built in time into my…
Kingfisher Airlines has received many a good word from their frequent flyers, and almost all of them feel sad that the airline is progressively going down. I invited Arun Rajagopal, a Kingfisher loyalist based in the UAE to write a trip report on Kingfisher’s final flight to Dubai when I heard the airline was shutting down international operations. Turning over the mike to him without further delay… I’m a loyal customer of India’s Kingfisher Airlines. I first flew Kingfisher in Jan 2011 but since then I have flown them 15 times. I fly them as much as possible. I often pay a premium to fly them even when I have cheaper or non-stop flights available. I even recommend it to…
