Availing the yQ Now complimentary Airport Assistance & Limousine service with Citi Prestige

One of the features of the Citibank Prestige Credit Card in Asia is their tie-up with an airport services provider called yQ Now. As a card member in India, you receive two complimentary meet & assist services per annum, as well as two complimentary airport limousine services. There could be other offers in other markets.

Both the services are executed by local service providers, and after you expire your complimentary usage, you could also book more of those on a chargeable basis. I suspect the primary reason to offer them free right now is to get the members to try out their services and make it a habit for them to use them on a chargeable basis. These services are available at about 30 airports in the following countries, you can check the airports here:

  • Australia
  • Cambodia
  • China
  • Hong Kong
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Japan
  • Korea
  • Macau
  • Malaysia
  • New Zealand
  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

Reviewing yQ Now Meet & Assist in Delhi

I used their meet & greet service last year in Delhi. I actually gave it away to my parents who are supplementary card holders on my Citi Prestige Card, and could also use the services. They were coming off a domestic flight with some big bags, and I thought it would be nice that they could have someone to carry their bags for them. I was personally just transiting the airport, and could not go out hence.

On this event, they were met at the aerobridge by the designated service. However there was not much assistance they could offer. There were no buggy services to drive them to the baggage carousel, and all they did was to walk them to the baggage carousel and from there, collect their bags and drop them to their car outside. In a sense, this was more a glorified porter service than Meet & Assist. But I believe the true privileges of Meet & Assist come about when you are at an international terminal, since you can be walked through immigration and security on a preferred basis.

Reviewing yQ Now Airport Limo Services

The Airport Limousine services are also provided twice per calendar year on a complimentary basis. I’ve had pretty good experiences with the past few times I’ve used the services. Last year, I booked an airport transfer in Delhi for my parents, and they were sent a BMW 5 series car to drive them home. This year, I booked an airport transfer in Saigon for myself, and on arrival, I had a BMW limousine to drive me to my hotel.

Over the weekend, I made a quick trip to Bangalore, and I had utilised them on arrival into Bangalore as well as departing from Bangalore. On arrival into Bangalore, I had a Toyota Camry awaiting my arrival. My flight was delayed by over 50 minutes, and once I landed, everyone from the chauffeur, to their car partner in India to the yQ office in the UK called me to check if I had found the car or if I needed any assistance. On the way back to the airport they upped the game further and sent in a spanking new Audi A6 to drive us to the airport.

I usually find their services pretty nice, and I even receive the driver details much ahead of departure, maybe a day or more in advance.

This is one benefit you should utilize on your Citi Prestige Credit Card if you hold one!

  1. A small warning for anyone planning to use the Meet & Assist service in Japan. Not only was our agent unable to speak or understand English , but the service begins once you EXIT the airport i.e. when you have crossed immigration , collected your luggage ( yourself ) & passed through customs. When I later asked the concierge why they did not mention this at the time of booking , I was told it was written in the comfirmation email , which was sent when I was already enroute Tokyo. Avoid if possible.

  2. I’m not sure about this , but is the limo transfer now handled by TBR Global ?? If so , does the list of airports (for complimentary usage ) remain the same as the ones for YQ Meet & Assist ??

    • @saurabh it clearly states it is for Citi Prestige customers, so where is the confusion about wanting to have it for any other credit card…sure you can pay and book it.

  3. I happen to use their service from Bangalore Taj West End property to the airport last month. Got the Audi A6 as well.

It was all systematically planned. The pick up was organised for 10 am. Promptly at 09:45 am, I receive a text from the driver stating that he was at the parking and that I call him whenever ready for the airport.

It was my first experience with them, and quite a good one..
